Mega-Lo-Mania

This classic strategy game is very quaint. This released before Command & Conquer and other titles that introduced features we are used to today. Because of this Mega-Lo-Mania can feel very dated and lacking in features. But for what it lacks in depth, it gains in addictive easy to pick up gameplay. It doesn't require a honorary degree in military tactics to understand like some of the computerized versions of Avalon Hill board games. The controls are simple and easy to master. This Zoom release has the manual which thoroughly explains the mechanics. It's a fun, simple game. It's effective at making chaotic blob wars style engagements. Who has more enemies with more tech? And that's the part I love the most. You start with sticks and stones but eventually progress to more fantastical sci-fi equipment. Awesome classic. Good to see it finally re-released. Highly recommend! The Zoom release is the DOS version running in a pre-configured DOSBox package.

Definitely one of the most enticing games I have ever seen, Mega-lo-mania is an astonishing god-simulator, a strategy game where people, land and time are needed to be mastered in order to beat the difficult levels of this game. There are a number of features present that may be difficult to comprehend at the start of the game, but in the moment, you read the manual, the game truly opens up, revealing actually a fun and engaging gameplay, both complex but simple. So, worth buying? Yes, absolutely. A go(o)d game, perfectly preserved and easy to pick up and play!

However, Zoom Platform have successfully ported the game over to work on modern systems, ensuring it can be played and enjoyed.
